The number counts layers of paper. More layers carry more weight and survive a longer journey — and cost more. The right specification is the lightest board that protects the product properly.

Common questions
What is the difference between 3-ply, 5-ply and 7-ply?
The number counts the layers of paper. 3-ply (single wall) has one fluted layer between two liners and suits retail and e-commerce boxes. 5-ply (double wall) has two fluted layers and carries heavier goods and stacking. 7-ply (triple wall) has three and is used for industrial loads and export, often in place of a wooden crate. More layers mean more strength and more cost, so the right choice is the lightest board that protects the product.
How do I measure a box?
Always give internal dimensions, in the order length × width × height, measured to the inside faces. Internal dimensions are what the product has to fit into; external dimensions include the thickness of the board, which changes with ply. If you give us the product instead, we will work the box out from it.
Can I order a custom size?
Yes — every box we make is cut to a customer specification. There is no standard catalogue size list, because the box is built around what goes inside it.
Do you print on the boxes?
Yes. Artwork can be printed onto the carton, from a single-colour mark up to a full printed retail carton. Send the artwork with your enquiry and we will tell you what reproduces well on corrugated board.
Why is there no price list on this site?
Every box is specified for one customer, and the cost depends on size, board, quantity and print. A published rate card could not be accurate for a bespoke product, so we quote against an actual specification instead.
What do you need from me to quote?
The product or its internal dimensions, roughly how many you need, whether it needs printing, and how it travels and is stored. That is enough to propose a board grade and quote it.
No price list, and that is deliberate
Every box we make is specified for one customer. Cost depends on size, board, quantity and print, so the only honest way to give a figure is to look at what you actually need to pack.
