A sealed box is counted once and trusted. Your buyer stops opening bundles to check the number, and nothing goes missing between your godown and his counter.
One or two colour printing, in your own name and mark — see printed and die-cut work. Priced separately from the rates above.
Corrugated board, made here, so a load that goes to Faisalabad or Multan arrives the shape it left in.
Patang is the small kite. Gudda — gudday — is the big one. Tawa is how the trade grades the big ones, so 1 tawa and 1.5 tawa are both gudday, and those are the two boxes rated above.
A 1 tawa gudda is commonly somewhere around 29 × 32 inches and a 1.5 tawa around 35 × 39 — but these are trade sizes that vary between makers, not a published standard, so treat them as typical rather than exact.
The box follows the kite. Send us one of yours, or the size you cut to, and the carton is built around it — twenty to a box, with enough clearance that the paper is not creased and not so much that they slide. Making a smaller patang? Send one and we will quote the box for it.

| Kite | Typical size | Box | Rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 tawa gudda | about 29 × 32 in | 1 Tawa box, 20 gudday | Rs 375 |
| 1.5 tawa gudda | about 35 × 39 in | 1.5 Tawa box, 20 gudday | Rs 485 |
Basant returned to Lahore on 6–8 February 2026 after eighteen years, under the Punjab Regulation of Kite Flying Ordinance 2025. The parts that decide who we can supply:
These are the Punjab government's rules, not ours, and they change between seasons. Confirm your own position with your DC. We make cartons — we do not supply kites, dor or charkhi, and we cannot advise on a licence.
Teen cheezein. We will call you back.
A 1 Tawa box holding twenty gudday is Rs 375, and a 1.5 Tawa box holding twenty is Rs 485. Those are per box, for a plain box. Printing your own name on it is extra and is quoted when you send the artwork.
Twenty. Both the 1 Tawa and the 1.5 Tawa box are built to hold twenty gudday of that size, so a shopkeeper can count a sealed box instead of opening it.
Patang is the small kite and gudda — gudday in the plural, and how everyone in Lahore says it — is the larger one. Tawa is how the trade grades the big ones: 1 tawa and 1.5 tawa are both gudday, commonly around 29 × 32 and 35 × 39 inches, though sizes vary between makers and these are trade sizes rather than a published standard. The two rated boxes on this page hold gudday. Making a smaller patang, or a size of your own? Send us one and we will quote the box for it.
Yes, and in four rates. For the small (2 pcs) charkhi a box of two is Rs 150 and a box of four is Rs 225. For the large (4 pcs) charkhi a box of two is Rs 250 and a box of four is Rs 350. Per box, plain.
Not if you collect. Come to the plant at Mehmood Booti, Lahore and there is no minimum at all — take ten boxes if that is what you need. For delivery the minimum is 100 boxes, which is a hundred boxes and not a hundred sets.
Three-ply or five-ply, depending on what the box has to survive. Kites are light, so the board is not carrying weight — it is stopping the paper being crushed and creased in a loaded truck. Where boxes are stacked high or travelling far, five-ply is the safer specification.
Yes. One or two colours carrying your own name and mark is the usual choice, and on a box that sits on a shop counter it is the part people remember. It is priced separately from the rates on this page — send your artwork with the enquiry and we will quote it.
No. Zain Packages is a corrugated carton manufacturer. We make the packing only — the kites, the string and the charkhi come from you.
Under the Punjab Regulation of Kite Flying Ordinance 2025, manufacturing is permitted in Lahore, Faisalabad, Kasur, Multan and Sheikhupura, by makers registered with their Deputy Commissioner and through the Punjab e-Biz portal. Only cotton string is allowed; metallic, nylon and chemically or glass-coated string is banned outright. Kite sizes are capped at 35 × 30 inches for a patang and 40 × 34 inches for a gudda. These rules are the Punjab government’s and they change — confirm your own position with your DC. We make cartons and cannot advise on a licence.
No. The rates on this page are for the boxes; delivery is charged separately and quoted with your order, because it depends on where it is going and how many boxes are on the truck. Collection from the plant is free of any delivery charge, and there is no minimum on it either — the 100-box minimum applies only when we deliver.
Not for a change of mind — they are cut to your size and printed with your name, so they are no use to anyone else. Anything faulty is a different matter: if a batch comes out wrong, we replace it. Check a sample before you take the full run and neither of us has a problem.
From our plant at Mehmood Booti on the Lahore Ring Road, across Punjab in same day to one day — which covers Lahore and the other districts where kite manufacturing is permitted — and nationwide beyond that.
Send us the kite or the charkhi you make and we will build the box around it. Rates on this page are per box, plain; printing is quoted when you send the artwork.
